Hey! Let’s get to know each other.

Meet Jaclyn Zeal, M.S., MFT

I am a trauma-informed relationship therapist with an approach that bridges the practical & the soulful. I’m rooted in evidence-based modalities & energetic, spiritual, here-and-now healing.

More presence. More feeling. More pleasure!

There is so much juiciness to experience in this life. I approach my work from the belief that getting present with our emotions means greater connection to all things. Relational work begins inside each of us, and understanding ourselves is the key to a great relationship with another.

The practical & the soulful

My approach to therapy is informed by my training in family systems theory — aka viewing each individual as shaped by systems, such as family, school, church, and societal systems. This lens also views each relationship as its own system, with intricate feedback loops and patterns. I find this such a rich and compassionate way of learning about my clients, helping them unpack the beliefs, norms, “rules,” and expectations that shaped them.

My favorite way of facilitating deep inner work is through guided meditations. I stay attuned to my clients in session, noticing their breath, body language, etc., and I guide my clients through meditations tailored to their unique needs. Meditation allows us to slow down and tune in, often accessing parts of us that are below consciousness. Many of my clients report feeling “transported” during meditation experiences. This can be a beautiful opportunity to explore ourselves from a deeper, more spiritual standpoint.

I draw from other modalities and theories, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Theory. The common denominator for these approaches entails accessing more tender parts of ourselves — often younger versions of us who need tending to.

Education + specialties

As a master’s level clinician, I received my degree through a rigorous Couples & Family Therapy program at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. I am currently pre-licensed, and practicing under supervision from Sarah Humphreys, LPC, CAADC, CCTP and Tracey Tanenbaum, M.Ed., LMFT. I have specialized training in sex therapy, aimed at helping couples navigate a variety of sexual challenges to create deeper intimacy. I also love working with women to reclaim sensory awareness and empowerment in their bodies. Since we all crave meaning in our lives, I also have a special interest in working with those who are seeking to develop spirituality, especially after leaving a religious belief system. My other interests include using nutrition, ritual, and cycle-tracking (for women) as a way to lead a nourishing, healing lifestyle.

I entered the field of therapy from a very intentional place after spending the first decade of my career in writing, design, and marketing. I lived a lot of life before deciding to dedicate myself to this work of healing and connection. While my training provided me with essential learnings and frameworks, I do believe that dedication to my own healing is a crucial aspect of my approach. I have endured grief and loss, difficult life transitions, family challenges and relationship endings. And I am committed to my own growth, especially cultivating joy!

I’m currently accepting new clients at Sacred & Free Psychotherapy and Wellness.

I meet with clients in-person and virtually at Sacred & Free Psychotherapy and Wellness in Collegeville, PA. I’m available to meet with clients virtually throughout the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
